Sista Varvet is indie rock in the 'noughties' tradition. With confidence, they create music that always puts the song, the composition, the lyrics first. Their songs take on lives of their own - becoming fast and punky, crookedly poppy, crumblingly rocky, or carrying the slight scent of a smoky 1930s jazz club.

The jacket might not always be spotless, the hat might have frayed edges, but the music is always honest and heartfelt. It is punk attitude, craftmansship, sweat, and musicality. With respect for and inspiration from musical heritage - stretching from British pub songs and Lennon/McCartney to '90s indie rock, indie sleaze, and beyond - this quartet delivers something other than the usual noise.

Leo Näsström, Julius Hammar Fahlén, Linus Jadling-Ohlsson, and Kristoffer Sundberg all have a long history of playing in various bands that have taken them beyond the borders of both countries and decency. Now, they have landed in Gothenburg and in Sista Varvet.
